People Picker Fields - User Names do not Resolve

People picker fields are fields where you can enter the name of a Breeze User, such as your Document Owner and Expert fields in the Knowledge Source, and Team Members in a Project.
When entering the name of a user, Breeze will automatically try to resolve the User's name.
Occasionally this may fail and you will receive the following error:
 
No exact match was found. Click the item(s) that did not resolve for more options.
 
This could be due to the name being incomplete or more than one possible username match existing within the system.
To Resolve, click on the user name and you will be presented with a pop up for matching user names. Select the appropriate name from the list:
 
You may also be presented with the following:
 
This may be due to the name you entered being invalid.  Review the spelling of the name and try again.
