Project Document Generation Fails: Data at the root level is invalid

When generating a project document from a PowerPoint template or Testing a template, users may receive the following error:

Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1

The error usually occurs if a content item, used in either a Guided Cart or Static Content Section, has the following setting switched on.

For each Content Item(in the KS):

1) Open the Content Item.
2) File>Options>Save>Embed fonts in the file:

3) Switch the above setting to Off (ie uncheck 'Embed fonts in the file'). Save the content and save.

Note: You may have to Approve the edited Content Item.

Test your template again.
